The Greener Grocer is a family owned supermarket retail chain, a subsidary of FoodWorks. I was tasked to create a 12 month plan for social media and come up with ideas for creative campaigns. The focus was put on the consumer, while remaining cost effective and realistic – but this didn’t mean we couldn’t get creative.
The main strategies I recommended for implementation is Greener Grocer branded shopping bags and a car wrap for the launch of Click and Collect. Smaller ideas included new labels, weekly recipes, a ‘stay local’ campaign and a partnership with Fitness on Capri. Something a bit left of field was the idea to set up geofencing – a virtual radius that notifies potential consumers of the Click and Collect program.
Smaller suggestions were made to how competitions are run, namely, the addition of user generated content.
